The Nature of Reality – Part Two

Last month I posted some recent thoughts and understandings about the nature of 3rd dimensional reality. Since then, I have been studying the topic.

I am still exploring and experimenting, as guided by the materials shared by Viola Rose, who taught the workshop Awakening the Illuminated Heart, that I attended remotely in January.

What I have to say at this time has shifted and expanded since my prior post.

I made this statement last month: “Regarding external guidance, I have come to wonder whether it truly exists.”

At this point, I would say that a definition of external is required. It seems to be agreed on by several scientific sources that one’s higher self creates – or projects – one’s reality.

The higher self refers specifically to one’s 4th dimensional self or aspect, who is sometimes referred to as “the Infinite I.”

There is much to say about this being. It is my understanding that it has both male and female aspects, that it is 90% light and 10% physical, whereas we are 10% light and 90% physical. It is also taller than we are.

We all have a higher self.

I met the male aspect of my higher self during the workshop. I don’t know why it showed up in the male aspect. I simply called for my higher self, and he showed up.

I met him in the tiny space of my heart, a place where one can connect with God and others.

My higher self was kind and helpful. He offered guidance that was helpful to me. I came to trust him at that time, and I still do. He is pure benevolence.

It is my understanding that the higher self of each human is benevolent and is both helpful to us and entertained by us.

So – this being, my higher self, projects a reality specifically for me, and I get to respond. That’s it.

My response is the variable that I control.

I learn over time to respond in a way that works for me – that brings me increasing harmony, joy, love, etc.

In this way I create my reality.

What this looks like: Things occur in my life.

Example 1:

I have an excellent chemistry teacher, and I get an A on my chemistry exam.

Response: I feel good. My dad is happy when he asks about it. I think about how fun chemistry is, and I decide to study chemistry in college.

Example 2:

My sister is generally a little grumpy in the morning. She takes some time to come around to the day.

Response 1: I adjust. I learn not to bring up complex topics or anything that requires a decision for an hour or so if possible.

Response 2: I am annoyed. I criticize her grumpiness, test it, showing my “superiority” …or my lack of compassion.

Response 3: I use it against her. I talk about this trait in a negative way to my brother, attempting to create distance between them and to increase the camaraderie with my brother.

It is OUR RESPONSE to the happenings in our lives that create our experience.

The things that happen in our lives are placed on our path by our higher self so that we become the best version of ourselves – the person we want to be.

I can see several instances of this at work in my life.

Challenges with others in my life (children, neighbors) have shown up, and over time I have learned to navigate them with grace and kindness and acceptance. The challenges ease or disappear!

Work challenges showed up, such as disrespect and unfairness by superiors. Over time I learned to suck it up, do my best, and practice acceptance. I became known as a valuable employee and landed in more supportive environments – or my boss actually changes toward me.

These may not be the best examples or clearly described …but I have found over and over that if I take things in stride and elevate my response …life becomes significantly more rewarding.

Sustaining gratitude, harmony, and inner balance …and navigating around situations rather than rebelling, criticizing or even internally judging others …changes everything.

I have been working on my responses for a while – long before I understood this aspect of reality.

Now that I understand, I am much more at ease, and even grateful for the challenging opportunities to grow toward being my best self.

Assignment if you choose to explore:

Watch “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey. Then practice experiencing what occurs in your life as intentionally placed there.

I hope to have another assignment soon, in case this engages you.

Answers to my questions

I have been working on opening my 3rd eye, on activating my pineal gland.

There is a great deal to say about this; the result has been both subtle and dramatic. I am noticing that I am starting to observe the creation of my reality by my thoughts. Small things like the call of the owl or the wind in the chimes …and even once my husband’s response to me.

Then 2 nights ago the room fell away …and I saw the stars and universe.

This happened 3 times and I opened my physical eyes quickly to return to the safety of the perceived physical reality.

I look forward (with mild nervousness) to it happening again …and maybe being able to stay with it for 10 seconds …at Lei Lei’s suggestion.

I did notice a being close to me, but that was all …aside from many bright starts and a beautiful round white planet (or moon?) – at a distance and in the center of my field of vision. Lei Lei tells me it was my husband, who was close by. It didn’t look like him, though – or the human form. He was colorful and angular.

I had many questions for Lei Lei and here is part of that conversation:

I have wondered in the recent past whether other species live in the physical. I don’t know what it means to live outside of physical reality. Are we simply consciousness?

We are consciousness with souls, sometimes grouped together as we are, sometimes solitary. Sometimes in ways that are changing, that flow, like fluidity, fluidly. We are fluid beings.

When you are sexual with your husband, you are becoming one with him. You are merging with him for a moment in time, or for the journey.

And as far as being physical, it is hard to understand, but you did have a glimpse the other night when your room fell away and you saw the universe. It is the same. The physical body is not what it seems.

It can fall away. And then you are simply a soul, a soul in the universe or in a community with other souls.

But the people, the beings of other planets have places, physical places, planets. The planets are physical.

Yes, the planets are physical. And yet the planets are also beings, souls, such as what you have learned about Mother Earth, having a soul, being a soul.

Okay. I have a sense that others look a certain way from some of the messages that I’ve listened to. What is appearance? How does it work outside of physicality?

It is the way others sense you. It is the way you present yourself.

In the physical here on Earth, it is the same, but in elsewhere it is thinner, less dense, a less physical aspect. The physical is less physical than it is here, less dense than it is here in your physical reality.

We know it is overwhelming for you to consider living without your physical reality and how much you love the physicality of the Earth and the sky and the sun and the moon and the hills and your beloved husband …and his fragrance. We know, and it is something that you will know more about in the future, and it is all good. It is all okay.

Well, thank you. I will accept your words because I don’t know what else to do.

Yes. It’s happening …as we open ourselves to it.

As a retired person on a spiritual path, this is important to me …to detach from the angst and disharmony of the physical world we live in …and to open to what is coming, to ALLOW, to FLOW in the best way I can …in love, in trust.

Blessing to you on the journey.
