About

The Shaman vs the Shamanic Practitioner

In a tribal paradigm, the shaman (a word for the tribal healer in Siberia) is responsible for the well-being of the tribe as a whole, and also for the well-being of each member of the tribe. He or she can sustain physical well-being by setting a bone, healing a wound, relieving a fever, and so on. S/he can deliver a child into the world if something goes awry. This healer also journeys to sustain a deeper well being for tribe members – using soul retrieval, extraction, and other techniques, such as assisting others to connect with helping spirits who support the individual’s soul journey in this life. Upon death, the tribe’s healer ensures that the soul crosses over to the next world. The shaman also brings forth information – such as when and where to hunt, when to plant, and when to move to a seasonal home.

A shamanic practitioner is not a member of a tribe, and is not raised in a tribal environment. S/he studies and serves as a healer of the soul by journeying to helping spirits on behalf of others in a non-tribal culture, through the ancient practices of soul retrieval, clearing/extraction, and assisting the soul to cross over after death. A shamanic practitioner also teaches and assists others to journey to access knowledge and support in their own life journey.

A shamanic practitioner may also assist an individual to connect with and facilitate healing for their ancesters, navigate challenges with the spiritual world, and clear unsettling energies from one’s home or work space.

Welcome

My name is Annie.

It’s my desire to assist others – the ancient way, through shamanic healing …and also through channeling Lei Lei.

I believe that we all came here for a reason, and that in conforming to the expectations of the world around us, many of us lost sight of our reason for being, of our true selves.

We can recover.

In truth – the answers, the healing, and the wisdom lie within each of us.

Through shamanic healing, it’s possible to return to yourself, to love yourself, to know who you truly are and to rise up and step back onto the path you came here to walk.

Recieving channeled information and guidance can bring an immediate response to your questions, as well as ease, and a deeper understanding of your soul’s purpose. Channeled healing is focused on soul healing and has reverberations that impact all aspects of your being. Explore what Lei Lie offers.

At this time, we are all needed to take our place at the helm of our lives – to transform our reality to one that we can all share, in balance and love.

It would be an honor to help you reach this goal.

Private sessions for channeled healing + guidance and/or shamnaic healing are offered in person and remotely by phone, video conference, or email. Contact Annie to book a session, host a workshop, for sliding scale rates or to discuss barter arrangements.

A Dream of Learning to Expand into Love

I recently had a lovely dream about the steps and lessons along the way of life.

There were lessons at various stations/locations, teachings about how to live, how to communicate, about negotiation, kindness, sexuality, and other aspects of the way we navigate our lives.

There were other individuals along this trail, and some stations were difficult to reach, to navigate, and/or to understand.

One was in an auditorium or theater – with rows of seats – and had something to do with understanding and acceptance of various orientations and ways …of self and others.

One was in a beautiful natural setting that was difficult to find …and even to see or perceive.

I remember talking with another person about the challenges of reaching these locations …as we sat on the auditorium chairs …not realizing that we were IN a teaching place at the time.

The journey could be walking or riding or simply being somewhere.

It involved being open-minded and seeing/understanding.

One could go to a teaching station and completely miss the lesson.

It was a beautiful dream and I felt honored by the message and excited about the levels of understanding and connection that I am learning to choose …through experience, and through the beautiful lessons.

As I thought about the dream, I realized that there has been a shift in my sexual orientation – more focus on alignment with my husband than on our individual pleasure.

Then my mind went to the day before when my husband and I discussed the placement of a used rug he’d bought. I had brought it into the living room and placed where I thought it should obviously go. He came into the room a bit later and joined me on the couch …and within a few minutes he said he had envisioned the rug in a different orientation. I consciously resisted the usual path of overriding his ridiculous idea. This would have been my choice in the past – not saying it was ridiculous but pushing my vision as the right one. Normally he would give way to this tactic.

On this day, however, we discussed it for a while and then decided to try it the way he preferred. We worked on getting it just right, moving the coffee table and getting it just as he wanted it.

This is way out of character for me – or for a prior version of me.

Eventually he decided that it worked better the original way, but I didn’t control the situation …or control him as I would have tried to do in the past. (He is historically more flexible than I regarding that sort of thing.)

He also has been shifting his energy toward me. I am experiencing much more support and appreciation from him, and much less of a critical focus on my cooking and other aspects of our life together.

We are liking each other more and learning harmoniousness!

I suppose life IS a classroom, kind of like in my dream …if one pays attention and is open-minded.

I want to say, in closing, that I had been feeling that my recent focus on not judging others was a final step in becoming a person I feel good about being.

Now I realize there is no end!

There are SO many ways of living our lives that could expand and improve – kindness, generosity, open-mindedness, supportiveness, holding one’s tongue, and on and on.

I feel excited about this, and curious about what’s ahead.

I also want to remind the reader that I have come to believe that dreams are messages from one’s soul.

Snowshoeing!

Snowshoes helped me make friends with the winter up here.

When I lived in the hills, we had 5 acres of woods behind our home, and both neighbors ok’d me hiking in their woods, so I made long snowshoe trails when there was enough snow.

One afternoon I was out a bit late, and the full moon lit up the woods …creating beautiful shadows and enabling me to see the path into the night!

I was out a lot that week.

It’s rare that decent snow and the full moon happen at the same time.

We had it in early February, but …brrr!

My neighbor saw my Facebook post about it and texted that she would love to go snowshoeing with me.

We determined that the temperatures were too low to go out at night – frostbite after 15 minutes!

We bundled ourselves up and did a 30-minute daytime snowshoe along the creek. Loved it.

I went again solo the next day – forgetting the rule about waiting 2 days after beginning new exercises.

My legs hurt and I only lasted 20 minutes that day, then gave it 2 days and went out again for 40 minutes.

After a 3 day cold blast, we went out again the following week.

I love to be in the woods; that trek was an hour at the nearby Arboretum. I’m not sure we’ll be able to do much longer, since we’re not spring chickens …and we have had to break trail each time we go out.

I’m hoping to strengthen and take a longer trek if my neighbor hangs in there. (Being alone on a long snowshoe at 70 doesn’t seem wise.)

It there’s a decent base of snow and the mild temperatures persist when the moon lights up the night, we’ll be out there soon.

I can’t count on it, but I’m grateful for what we’ve been able to do already.

I have to say it truly changes my experience of the winter.

I wake each morning with plans to get outside and tromp about!

Why Humanity Matters in the Universe

Anne Tucker knocked it out of the ballpark this week with her expansive channeled message from the Mother of Creation …about what’s ahead.

I have listened to her messages for 2 years; this one brought forth a new level of respect and appreciation.

It was a very clear teaching about how life will be in the future – how we will interact and create. It made me feel more confident about what’s ahead for an elevated humanity.

If you are interested in the elevation of humanity and what’s ahead, I recommend her “Friday Live” videos.

She also published a book of channeled messages, mostly from the angelic realm, called What’s Coming Next.

She has many offerings – both information and healing – at annetucker.com.

Living in my Heart

Since taking the class I wrote about, Awakening the Illuminated Heart, I am experiencing living in my heart.

The class truly allowed me to move forward in a new way. I am creating my own reality, and I have made several choices. The one that is making the biggest difference is choosing to reside in my heart rather than in my mind.

It is a much different place.

I am no longer experiencing getting triggered by others.

I am drifting differently through my days – no pressure, no angst, no worry.

I still consult the list of things I want to accomplish, and the important things are getting done.

There is food on the table when it’s my turn to cook. I’m shopping, doing laundry, and washing dishes.

The cats and chickens are being cared for. The cats have been getting a bit more petting.

I am connected with my husband and my children and my stepchildren. I am doing my share of shoveling snow. I am taking my daily walk. I am meditating. I am connecting with Mother Earth and Father Sky each day.

My awareness is different – for example, the cats. I am more tuned into them …and my husband.

My priorities are different. I am fulfilling my commitments. However, I am paying more attention to commitments. What is priority? What takes more focus than I actually want to drum up?

So far I haven’t made any changes, but I am allowing myself to consider making adjustments.

I have pushed off a few things until later on. And I’m not quite as on top of the math puzzles I enjoy.

(I did beat my husband at dominoes the other day.)

Drunvalo Melchizedek, the man who developed this class – and other teachings, says that “The Fall” of humanity was actually when we moved from our Hearts to our Heads.

I don’t fully understand this, but I it makes sense to me that it would be very difficult to construct this current dystopian world if all of humanity lived in their hearts.

So perhaps it’s true.

As for myself, I know that this is a beneficial change.

I want to stay here.

I’m very grateful that I get to choose.

JOIN the Global Loving-Kindness Meditation on 2/11/26

“When thousands of hearts meditate together in the same moment, our loving-kindness ripples outward, touching hearts, healing wounds, and planting seeds of peace everywhere.”

I recently learned about a 20 minute meditation in Washington DC for Global Loving-Kindness this Wednesday.

I have seen snippets of information about this, and now it is 1 day away!

A group of 20 Buddhist monks left Fort Worth, Texas on a Walk for Peace on October 26 to walk 2300 miles to Washington DC in 111 days.

There is a dog involved, named Aloka, who joined forces with the monks.

Here is a link to hear the story. https://youtu.be/AAciRWyTCEI?si=5aHWZJZ6ZFudTzYC

There are many reports to be found that provide additional information.

They are arriving in DC in time to hold a 20 minute meditation at 4:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday February 11 at the Lincoln Memorial.

Here is the link to join the 20 minute meditation on Wednesday: https://dhammacetiya.com/walk-for-peace/global-meditation/

Or you can simply join them without linking.

I plan to join one way or the other.

March 3rd: Full Worm Moon

The Imbolc circle Friday night was well attended …and so much fun! I’m deeply grateful for the return of this pathway of creating community in conjunction with the full moon cycle (and some ceremonial days) during the year.

Next is the Full Worm Moon, with a total lunar eclipse.
Free event at The Wandering Mystic, 315 Main St. Middleburgh, thanks to Krissy!
We will gather from 6:30-8pm on Tuesday, March 3rd.

Join us as we step into the circle, enter our heart-space, and pass the talking stick. Our intuition will lead us to a supportive action to take before we close the circle – prayer/meditation/movement or other expression or …?

It is our intention to support each other, our local and global communities, Mother Earth, and to align with Spirit/Creator/God.

RSVP at link below
Dress for comfort.
Seating will be on chair or floor cushion.
Bring a drink for yourself.
(Optional – bring simple food offering to share after the circle/forks + plates available)
