Assisting the dead to cross over to the next world

An aspect of my work that some are unaware of is assisting those who have passed from this physical realm to arrive where they should be – with their beloved spirit families, to rest, rejuvenate and move forward in the light. Generally I check in 4 days after death when I am aware that someone close to me or in my community has died. Sometimes I receive a request to check on another person’s loved one.

Occasionally when I perform a clearing in a home when someone feels a presence there or experiences unsettling energy, I find that someone (or several people) who have died and didn’t cross over initially are hanging around. I always communicate with them and give them the opportunity to cross before clearing the house.

Assisting the soul to cross to the “Land of the Dead” is the one area where a shamanic practitioner can help another without permission. Of course, the soul is not forced to cross, but I can show up and offer to help. 

Generally once a person has left their body, the physical world is not the best place to linger.
